Jewish Community Centre Events Committee

The Jewish Community Centre Events Committee (JCCEC) is committed to bringing JCC members a diverse range of cultural, entertaining and educational activities throughout the year.

Including music evenings with world class performers, lectures by government leaders and chief Rabbis, cooking demonstrations, cultural trips and seminars about health and body, we aim to keep the JCC a thriving centre of life for our members.

In 2010, we were proud to host a Klezmer evening, a seminar on Jewish geneology, a fun day for children, a Burns night whiskey tasting event and a night hike, as well as lectures by former head of the Mossad Ephraim Halevy and Chief Rabbi of Poland Michael Schudrich and a three day cooking demonstration with famous chef Sharon Glass.

Looking ahead to 2011, we will welcome Rabbi Tokayer, author of 'The Fugu Plan' as well as Father Patrick Desbois, author and documentary film maker of 'Shoah by Bullets'. We have a two day health and nutrition seminar planned as well as an art trip to Vietnam.
