Rosh Hashanah Reading
Rosh Hashanah Reading @ the Jewish Community Centre’s Judaic Library
It is Rosh Hashanah time again. As usual, the Judaic Library has reserved a special corner to display our New Year resources. Since Sukkot follows fast on the heels of the High Holidays, some relevant resources are also included.

Books on the origins, developments of the festivals and their essential spirit both in the home and in the synagogue are the core items in this collection. Others provide liturgy, prayers, laws, philosophical perspectives or suggestions for programming.

One cannot forget food in any major Jewish holidays. Our collection of international cookbooks provides a wide range of menu from traditional to lite for you to choose from. While you may like to stick to grandma’s recipes, don’t forget to take a look at our new cookbooks. Storybooks on festivals are always popular. I have classic storybooks that children love to read over and over again, but I also have new ones for them to explore. Be the first one to sign them out.
Happy reading!
